Segment Intending, also known in the Abraham parlance as “getting out ahead” or “pre-paving”, is about consciously creating your vibration in this pending NOW!

I want to feel energetic and peaceful as I do these dishes! *Or: How is it so easy for me to feel energetic and peaceful as I do these dishes?

I want to feel calm and proud of myself as I pick up the phone to talk to my tax accountant! *Or: How is it so easy for me to feel calm and proud of myself as I pick up the phone to talk to my tax accountant?

I want to feel focused and creative as I write this page for the website! *Or: How is it so easy for me to feel focused and creative as I write this page for this website?

It is THAT simple! Add a few more feeling words if you like and add a round or two of EFTapping to the process and you will create a wonderful, positive momentum that enhances the magical effects of this exercise!

* This stem sentence: “How is it so easy for me to….” is credited to Noah St John who found that sending the mind on a positive search is far more productive than the typical, negative “Why am I such a_______” etc. St John refers to this as an afformation. The point of either approach, (I want to feel….or How is it so easy for me to feel….) of course, is to invite yourself to embrace a high vibration as you go about your next TO DO!

ADDITIONAL USES FOR SEGMENT INTENDING

e.g.: For the day ahead (or any larger segment of time):

I want to decide how I feel! I want to be the one to choose! I want to create joy in my life. I want to be clear about what makes me truly happy. I want to be conscious and to take all the time I need to embrace being loving, joyful and kind. Once I have created my Segment Intention, I want to be focused and I want to pursue my intention with pleasure and awareness.

e.g.: For when you are feeling negative about yourself or are feeing anxiety around a given topic:

I am feeling insecure and unready about meeting my prospective boss for this interview. I need to do some more research about the company. I need to do some EFTapping to clear my negative energy! I need to do some mock interviews with my friend so I feel ready. I want to feel energized and focused as I learn more about the industry and the company’s products and potential. I want to feel prepared and confident. I want to feel curious and interested when I meet Mr. X. I want to feel optimistic and confident for the interview.

I am feeling undisciplined and pessimistic about my current weight. I need to make peace with my body the way it is right now. I need to relax and feel appreciation for all the ways it serves me and all the ways that it is functioning well. I need to get back to the healthy XYZ program that has supported me to lose weight in the past. I want to feel confident and optimistic that I can release weight easily. I want to feel vital and energetic at any weight! I want to feel flexible and comfortable. I want to feel appreciative for all the ways I feel good now! I want to feel about me the way my Inner Being feels about me! I want to love and appreciate me just for being me!

NOTE: When you tap on these scripts, once you have recognized the negative feelings you are feeling and have written down what you need to do, you can skip to the part where you are simply stating what you want to feel. In the last sample you could tap on: I want to feel confident and optimistic that I can release weight. I want to feel alive and energetic at any weight. I want to feel flexible and comfortable.
