For this Segment Intending Game, you will need a journal and a pen. (Or Notes in your phone if you prefer.)

ASK: What’s next? What am I about to do? _______________ (Fill in the blank with the next “segment” of your day).

THEN ASK: How would I like to feel while I’m doing ___________(that).

TWO CONSECUTIVE EXAMPLES:

A.

“What’s next?” I am about to drive to the grocery store.

“How do I want to feel as I am driving to the grocery store?”

I want to feel focused and alert, relaxed and happy.

I want to find great music or an interesting Podcast to drive by!

I appreciate the free flow of traffic.

I love finding a great parking spot close to the entrance.

B.

(You’ve just parked at the grocery store and now have a new segment to anticipate/intend.)

“What’s next?” I am about to go into the grocery store.

“How do I want to feel at the grocery store?”

I want to feel efficient, focused and appreciative.

I love being aware of the abundance of choices that the grocery store offers.

If you really want to put the impact of this exercise on steroids, keep a small journal with you or use NOTES on your phone. At each opportunity during the day, write down what is coming next and record how you want to feel as you anticipate that segment. Feel free to tap on the statements or even just the feelings in those statement you chose before you step into the new segment. Be alert to how your life changes as you successfully develop this habit. As Abraham puts it, the Universe will start to “surprise and delight you” in response to your efforts to raise your vibration.
